Why aren't beans Keto?
Why are beans/lentils to be avoided on the ketone diet? Since they are a healthy source of protein and fiber, especially for someone like me who is a vegan and following the ketone diet for brain health, not weight loss.

Legums are considered a carbohydrate, but some experts do suggest occasional use of them to trick the body into tolerating healthy carbs once in a while.

Beans are legumes which also contain too many carbs to form part of keto. Healthy fats, not protein are the base of this lifestyle of eating

I have been doing keto for about 3 weeks now. I initially lost 6 pounds, but for the past 2 weeks, I have been at the same weight. I watch my carbs, read labels and try to eat right. I am also on a steroid skin ointment. Could this medication be causing my body to not allow ketosis?
