Hey Melissa I am now retired and I also worried about the cost of being on keto however, since being on keto I save $60 a week on my groceries! I also fast intermittently with keto so there is no need to spend heaps of $ on food and hours in the supermarket. When I first started I could not get it right I seemed to be all over the place food wise. Now, I tend to stick to the outside parameters of the store, only buy grass fed meats and or organic, stick to whole organic green legacy begs like kale broccoli sprouts etc a. At least twice a week I’ll do a carb up so that includes about 100g of say sweet potato or rice or spuds or even a half apple and some raisins in my salad. Honestly, I hardly buy much food this way and am well fed. Make sure you eat plenty of good fats and you will be satiated. It truly is doable. Shame I have to still buy bread and pasta for hubby I guess he will wake up to it one day lol.

Hi!

I like to keep our budget low as well. We do a lot of cheaper vegetables, when we can’t buy organic meat we get the leanest possible, we intermittent fast for breakfast time, buy our “most often used foods” in bulk from Costco then just fill-ins from Walmart. I also will cook my meals once at night then use that same meal for lunch the next day! Cook it once then eat it twice!
