What am I doing wrong?

I have been on a keto diet for 3 weeks now without ever being in ketois and I have never loss more than the 8.7 lbs I lost within the first two weeks?  I have not cheated even a little.   I have a friend who is losing weight left and right and she claims I do not need to count anything just keep protein to 3-4 ounces and eat only foods allowed on the diet.   I’m frustrated but not enough to throw in the towel.  I really want this but if the scale won’t budge then I may very well be tempted to throw in the towel and think that this is just not the diet for me.  HELP!

Hi!

Thanks for reaching out! Everyone’s body is different so it is hard to say what is going on. If you were my client, I would tell you to get off of dairy for 2 weeks as a trial. So many of my clients find they have a dairy sensitivity and that’s the reason for the stall. Maybe try that? Also, it could be you aren’t eating enough or too much. I would track your food, even just for a little while to understand how much you are taking in. 🙂
