Weight stalling, help.

i followed a strict keto diet for approximately one year and then gave up. I’ve started again for the last 4 months and with working out, HIT, 6 times a week. No cravings, no snacking, intermittent fasting, feel great but have not lost ONE pound. Yes a few inches here and there. In menopause for the last 10 years, hot flashes have returned but can’t lose the middle bulge that has slowly accumulated during menopause. Extremely frustrated.

I know I’m doing something not quite right but no idea what. I’m trying to up my fat intake and added salmon oil pills to bring up Leptin hormones. Any other suggestions?

Hi Cathy, have you changed any of your macro amounts? With that much working out and activity you will need more calories. It could be that you are eating too little. Also going strict keto for a year suggests you’ve not cycled in carbs every once in a while. While your body does not need carbs, it helps to give your metabolism a little shake up and get you going again. Also, if you are consuming lots of dairy or nuts, they can cause a stall. 🙂
