Vegetables vs carbs
I’m very new to keto diet. What I understand is I need to have majority of vegetables. Problem I’m having is that the salads consisting of green leafy romaine and spinach with bell peppers and cucumbers (plus avocados) are throwing me over my daily carb intake. I’m using and Olive oil/vinegar homemade dressing.
My salad carbs total 17grams of carbs.
What I do to lower my carbs and what fats can i use top increase because I’m falling short 30grams even after cooking with and eating ghee and coconut oil.
Thank you for your help.

Nothing wrong with 17g of carbs. Some people can have 50g and more and still be in ketosis.
How do you feel about eating coconut oil straight off the spoon?
Mix it (or ghee) with avocado and spices?

Choosing protein sources higher in inherent fat will help with the fat intake, avoid lean things traditionally used in diets like chicken and tuna.
Peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers are fruits really hence most of the energy in them is carbohydrate. Vegetables that you cook (cauliflower, broccoli, green beans etc) are generally lower in carbs.
