not losing weight
I’ve been on the keto diet for 17 days now, and am in ketosis;however, I’m not losing any weight. Down a pound, up a half, down 1/2, up 2. Its very frustrating. I do feel somewhat thinner, but it seems the scale should be steadily moving down, and it isn’t. Is this normal? This is discouraging to say the least, and I’m beginning to think this isn’t for me. I have less than 15 lbs. that I want to lose. How long will this take?

I have found cutting dairy and nuts to be key for me to lose weight. I know how frustrating that can be, I have been there. Good luck!

- Which nuts? Even macadamia and pecans… which are super high in fat and very few carbs?
- I avoid all nuts, I am following a cleanse that I have been very successful with and this is part of her recommendation. It is called the Ketogenic Cleanse by Maria Emmerich. It is awesome!I have lost 20 lbs since May.

Keto is not a magic wand that makes rapid huge weight loss inevitable.
You still have to eat less overall (but keto does make it easier to do this).
You still need to exercise.
You still need to care about food quality. Too many people try what I call junk food keto and wonder why it’s not working.
You still need to pay attention to all the other “lifestyle factors” such as stress and getting enough sleep.
Sorry if this bursts a bubble but keto is one very effective tool; it’s not the whole tool kit.
