keto snacks for long car journeys
what does everyone take with them?

- cavumine has great suggestions for snack. Snacking isn’t a word I’d use for keto BUT if I were on a long car journey and perhaps needed something to tide me over until my meal I would suggest – baking bacon, macadamia nuts, pork rinds, couple slices of cheese with grassfed butter in between, parsley or even uncooked asparagus always being sure you can stop because definitely water is a must. Alright that said, I would choose bacon, asparagus and water. What ever it is you decide should be healthy in fat, moderate protein and always carb check. Enjoy that journey!

Depending on your taste and preferences about cooking, home-made beef jerky is a good option. Pork or chicken cracklings are delicious, crunchy options. Pepperoni, salami wrapped around cheese is good, too. Of course, intermittent fasting always works.

- Cheddar whips – also make them in assigio and Parmesan
- intermitent fasting is a good option if you can do it. Otherwise low sugar meat sticks, boiled eggs, cheese sticks are good. Usually I eat a good meal before hitting the road to avoid snacking. I think snacking on road trips can be triggered out from being bored. Water helps with this (of course not if you have small bladder) LOL…

I practice IF. When I know I’ll be gone during my window I’ll bring a Ketobar. If it’s a planned trip I’ll make some fat bombs ahead and put them in a cooler with my waters.

I make a ‘popcorn’ with olives, nuts, cubed salami and cheeses in a little olive oil.
