Is a Keto Diet Good Or Bad For the Heart?

I am sitting here drinking my morning tea and reading, reading and reading.  I have been on Keto for about a month.  I am feeling a lot better and have lost about 10 pounds.  I just read an article from Eat This, Not That, and it gave the worst foods for the heart.  Many, many of those foods are Keto foods such as bacon, cheese, salad dressing, steak, etc. It left me kind of scared after reading it.  I’ve learned that one professional opinion or even research differs completely from another, but it still leaves me feeling weird.  I been told over the years how bad fat is for you so that may also be why I feel weird.  Thoughts anyone?

Hey Donna, I think anything in excess is bad, even if it is overeating healthy foods. Jimmy Moore has some great books on this subject such as Cholesterol Clarity. I think if you are balancing your ketogenic diet with veggies and berries you will be following a heart healthy plan. Get in enough fiber and don’t just eat prepackaged keto foods. Good luck!
