I am new to this. I am combing intermittent fasting with Keto. Last meal is 6 pm dinner then a late lunch at 1 pm (17 hour fast). My question is if I have bullet coffee at 7:30am am I breaking fasting benefits or do I need to stay with black coffee only? Thanks for any help or advice!
Yes you are breaking your fast, as soon as anything to eat or drink other than water breaks your fast. Your body sets into motion all the chemical signals that food is coming, get ready.
On the other hand drinking a coffee with some MCT oil and butter isn’t going to kick you out of ketosis because fat does spike insulin.
