Is Saturated Fat Bad?
I’ve heard that there are dozens of studies that have shown saturated fat is not linked to heart disease. How can this be true if 25% of the population has at least one genetic E4 allele (making them more susceptible to heart disease when consuming saturated fat)?
Wouldn’t that large percentage of the population skew the data towards a higher incidence of heart disease with the consumption of saturated fat? I’m confused!

Hey Bryan, it can be hard to know what is true when you can find scientific data to back up whatever your theory may be (it never ends!). I think anything in excess is not healthy. For our family we eat as many vegetables and berries as we can/want, grass fed meats and free range chicken as well as pasturized eggs. We eat until satisfied and move our bodies. Keep a good attitude and do the best you can! In the end I don’t think saturated fat is the issue, I think it is an imbalance of not adding in enough other things into your diet. I hope that helps.
