Is MCT oil essential?
Hi
I’d like to ask a question about the use of MCt oil in keto diet. I started keto diet last May for 2 months but didn’t lose any weight so I stopped. Now I have been back on keto for 3 weeks with no problem because I ve been intermitten fasting since last May. I experienced no keto flu no cravings and I’m in ketosis pretty quickly. I use the urine strips for this. However I haven’t been able to use any MCT oil or coconut oil this time back to keto diet because I have terrible diarrhea every time so I stopped using it altogether. I’d like to know whether MCt oil is essential for keto diet and if I don’t use it, will I still get the same benefit and stay in ketosis long term? Apart from not using MCT oil, I eat everything correctly according to keto guidance and am consistently in moderate ketone production according to the urine strips
Many thanks

A quick question, most of the Keto diets includes cheese and yogurt and your diet plan/receipes does not..
I love cheese and yogurt and how can I incorporate them in my Keto diet?
Thanks

I don’t do dairy because I have a sensitivity to it. If I am using cheese it is only in sprinkles on tacos or something like that. I can do coconut yogurt but not any of the others. What would be the reason you want to have the cheese and yogurt? If the yogurt is for gut reasons, there are tons of other fermented options to heal your gut as well as prebiotics and probiotics. :)

Hello! Thanks for stopping by! First of all, congrats on your progress with this way of eating! Way to go. 🙂 I personally can only use a bit of MCT oil at a time or it gives me the same reaction. Tell me about the coconut oil though. Is it every time you have coconut oil? Do you have a gallbladder? If you don’t have a gallbladder then do you take digestive enzymes or ox bile? Those help. Also there is a new MCT powder instead of the oil that I’ve heard people do well with. Maybe you could look into that. I would slowly introduce coconut oil back into your diet if you can tolerate it and go slower this time instead of trying to get in your daily recommended amounts right from the beginning. 🙂 Only a few people can do that successfully. Good luck!
