Why does CNN and NPR say Keto is dangerous?
I am nervous about these new diet ratings that were released on cnn and npr. Thy indicated that the Keto was the worst diet to be on. I am on week 6. Feel great, but eat 2 tablespoons of grass fed butter 3 oz of cheese 4 slices of bacon with my eggs every day. Everything else is healthy ie. macadamia nuts, avocado, skinless chicken breast, Himalayan sea salt, 120 oz of water per day. Spinach, broccoli, garlic, olive oil, cheese, asparagus etc. I am nervous about the extra salt I have been having to add due to my electrolight deportation and the semi bad fats ie. bacon, cheese grass fed butter. Please ease my mind. Is my coletrtol going to be through the roof? Why are these publications debunking the diet?

The standard american diet consists of high (bad for you fats) and high carbs. The combination here is a deadly one. These sites are funded by the very companies who make these foods as well as the pharmaceutical companies that “fix” you after you have eaten the foods. The keto diet, if done correctly, can be very beneficial. Personally I not do a strict keto approach all the time. I cycle in and out of ketosis as some of the experts suggest doing. Find what feels good in YOUR body and do that. If something fits in your diet that is “not allowed” on keto then skip it or modify it to fit your needs. Good luck!
