Does Amasai fit into the Keto Diet at any time?
I agree with Tammy. Maybe 1/2 cup cultured dairy (amasai, kefir, or goat’s milk yogurt) could be added to a smoothie or something. It will be dependent on your carb tolerance as to whether it will kick you out of ketosis. If you are looking for something that is good to add to your diet but not necessarily measuring your ketones then I say go for it! 🙂 Great question, by the way.
I looked this up- According to Dr Axe, it’s about 10 carbs per 8 ounces. I would say this could fit when you are in maintenance phase if you maybe use about 1/2 cup and mix it with fiber and protein (like try making chia pudding with it). But I would think that’s too much sugar all at once otherwise. it has about 7g – which might be enough to have all at once to kick you out of ketosis, spread out over hours, that’s not too much, but probably not ok to drink 8 ounces.
