in ketosis?

Ive been following keto diet for two weeks.  I enter all my food in chronometer.  I’m not really restrictive with carbs, going into it slow.  I average about 50 grams of carbs.  My keto stick swing between small and medium level of ketosis.  So does that mean, even though the reading is lower, that I’m a little bit in ketosis?  Or burning a little more fat than if I wasn’t following this diet?

Most people report that the keto stix lose accuracy after you adapt to being in ketosis since you’re body is using the ketones instead of peeing them out. If you are referring to 50 grams of net carbs vs carbs, that may be a bit high. The standard recommendation is to stay below 25-30 per day. Hope this helps.

often I read zero on ketostix even with 0.3 on the blood meter. I get the small or medium readings as ketones climb currently, but not always. I don’t find urine sticks a reliable indicator due to false negatives but if you have colour on the strips you probably are in ketosis.
