How to stay under 20 g carb per day
I am using the KETO calculator and monitoring my food choices closely. I am only eating “good” carbs, i.e. fresh veggies in salads, avocado, no dairy at all. I am having a really hard time keeping my total daily carb under 20 g. It averages 35 g per day. I am not getting enough fat (about 80 g of my 104 g allotment). I am trying to find ways to increase my fat ration and keep the carbs down, but not having luck so far. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Hey Terry, are you calculating net carbs or total carbs? If you subtract the fiber from the veggies (and they are low carb) you can still eat a substantial amount of leafy greens and stay under you carb allowance. 🙂 One way to increase your fat without carbs is fat bombs! I personally would not try to get in more fat if you are feeling satisfied with the amounts you are eating. If you are hungry and find yourself wanting to snack, then yes, go ahead and up your fats.
