How many meals a day do we eat?
I’m very new to this program and to keto. In the Keto40 program, the meal plans are just lunch and dinner. Should we only eat 2 x meals a day or can you also eat breakfast? What about snacks? Just want to make sure that I don’t overeat/undereat, etc.
Great question! You can eat 3 meals a day if that is what your body is needing. The meal plans in Keto40 are set up to practice intermittent fasting in the morning but you should have access to breakfast ideas on your dashboard (when you log in with your username and password) as well. If you do skip breakfast, I would make sure to have your daily calorie intake in those two meals. If you don’t need to snack, don’t! I find that most of the time I snack out of bordem and not true hunger. Make sure when you eat a meal, that it is satisfying so you won’t be hungry so soon.
Just keep track of your hunger. Grab a cup of water and drink it before grabbing a snack.

For me I used to love eating three meals a day. But now 3 weeks into keto I’m just not hungry enough. So I’ll usually have some bulletproof coffee in the morning. Basically I just add some grass-fed butter from Whole Foods and some MCT oil and then put that in my coffee. It’s a way for me to at least have something in the morning (and I know I can’t skip my coffee).

thats the tough thing about keto. don’t want to overeat or undereat… hmmm i say to start try eating 3x meal a day and no snacks. if you are hungry then eat snacks. track weight to see if you are still losing. if you are then thats good! it’s all about what you want. lose weight? feel better? sleep better? if you reach goals then doesn’t matter too much how many meals you eat!
