Fat/Protein/Carb breakdown

I am wanting to start keto and am gaining as much info on this as possible. I’ve read that you need to still keep your calorie intake in check. Do some people use MyFitnessPal for this? If so, what do you adjust your calorie intake to? Do you adjust your Fat/Protein/Carb settings as well?

Any advice or insight is much appreciated!

Hey Lauren-fabulous question. I no longer track with keto but when I did I focused more on keeping my carbs low and my fats high. When you do this your calorie intake will naturally fall into place. What I did was set my app for 20 net carbs a day and .8 g or protein per lean body mass. If you download a keto app like Senza or Stupid Simple Keto then you will automatically get keto ratios. As you lose weight this will adjust your recommended amounts right in the app! No extra figuring required. 😉 Good luck! Becky
