Diabetes
I have a few questions-
1. Can you add fat to bone broth and if so, how much?
2. My ketones range from .8 to 3.4 mol and all times, but my blood sugars are always high (on Metformin and Januvia). How long will it take my body to heal from diabetes? I am taking liver cleanse supplements but… not noticing anything.
3. Cortisol is all over the place at night (hot flashes after meals and through the night). I’ve been steamy for years! Will this improve with time? I am willing to wait patiently if I need to but if there is something I can do NOW I’d really like to get started.

Hey Becky! Here are my answers to your questions below. I hope this helps!
1. Can you add fat to bone broth and if so, how much? Yes, I’d start with 1 tablespoon and see how you feel.
2. My ketones range from .8 to 3.4 mol and all times, but my blood sugars are always high (on Metformin and Januvia). How long will it take my body to heal from diabetes? I am taking liver cleanse supplements but… not noticing anything. How many carbs are you taking in per day? You probably should be very low carb (like 20 total carbs for the day!) For liver cleansing, I like to follow the protocol by Stacey Kimbrell.
3. Cortisol is all over the place at night (hot flashes after meals and through the night). I’ve been steamy for years! Will this improve with time? I am willing to wait patiently if I need to but if there is something I can do NOW I’d really like to get started. I do find that my coritsol is way more even with the reduced sugars. I would implement making sleep a priority. Whatever you have to do to get in your hours, do that!
